Rally is far more than just a benchmarking tool for OpenStack. In this talk, I will demonstrate how Rally can be used both for performance benchmarking and for functional platform testing—and where the differences lie. Whether it’s validating a new environment, running regression tests after updates, or continuously monitoring a production platform, Rally provides reliable, actionable results.
The talk goes beyond basic usage and shows how Rally results can be automatically exported to Prometheus, making trends and anomalies visible over weeks and months. From scenario design and fully automated execution to long-term analysis — this is a practical look at working with Rally in real-world OpenStack environments.
